Can transfer students take ACT instead of SAT?

I am transfer and prefer the ACT over the SAT
So, can I send the ACT scores to MIT.

I am very sure the freshman can do that. So, I assume transfers can do that too?

Please help

Native English Speakers
(For those who have been using English at home for more than five years.)

You must take the new SAT I with the writing component and two SAT II subject tests, one in math (Level 1 or Level 2) and one in science (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology E/M). If you already took the Writing SAT II subject test (no longer offered), you may substitute that test for the SAT I requirement.

Non-native English Speakers
(For students whose native language is not English, who have been using English for less than five years or who do not speak English at home.)

You have two options: you may take the tests required of native English speakers, or you may take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and two SAT II subject tests, one in math (Level 1 or Level 2) and one in science (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology E/M).
So no, you can't substitute the ACT. Sorry.

You might want to check out MIT Transfer Admissions for more information on transfer admissions.

Is there any point in submitting the ACT along with the SAT; or will they just toss it? I personally think the ACT is an easier test because you don't have to "shift gears" as often (a few longer sections > lots of shorter sections).

@ k4r3n2, first of all thanks

That is not good
I am not sure what to do now
I don't even have the money to take the test
Does any of you know if I can recieve SAT fee waiver from the SAT people? ( As I mentioned above, I am a transfer and permanet resident in USA)

I have looked almost every corner of their website. I also have seen your link before but thought that it was an old one.

I know they dont like the tranfers very well, but that will not stop me. I will send what ever I got

Thanks
