this might be a weird question...but around what time of day do you get deferral/rejection/acceptance by email when they come out?

MIT has not used email in the past for admissions decisions. Instead, there has been a website where applicants can log in with their MyMIT IDs, usually starting at noon EDT.

@ Mollie, Do the transfers find their result the same way as the freshman?

I don't know, but I don't believe so. The online decisions webpage is linked to an applicant's MyMIT account, which transfers don't have.
