Sorry for the delay, folks. Kim Hunter, who oversees our network of alumni interviewers, provided her guidance on the whole "But it hasn't been two weeks yet!" issue. She said that by this time, you should go ahead and update your MyMIT account to indicate that your interview has been conducted, even if it was conducted yesterday.
We are looking at possibly taking the tracking system offline for a bit, but the folks in Freshmen Records have been quite busy updating all of your accounts to reflect receipt of application components. More on this will be posted on the blogs later.
Two more things: We are not yet ready to go public with our EA application numbers. Stu Schmill does that himself, and I am unsure of when that will be.
Also, CellarDweller notes that there are more interviews this year. Although some of you might see this as an n=1 indicator of application numbers, we have expended hundreds and hundreds of staff and student employee hours in an effort to get as many applicants as possible to interview. If the numbers for this year were EXACTLY the same as last year's, there would still be a large increase in the number of interviews conducted. Interviews = very helpful for us!
