I think I'm picking MORE as my top choice. It seems like artsy people are most attracted to them and they are the ones who occupy it

And they are sooo pretty.
Especially 522 on Avenue des Pins which as been newly renovated.

Also very close to campus and hosts awesome house parties.

Just pray you get stuck with cool people I guess? :P

Only downside.. you sign up for an 11-month lease.. I have to ask them about this.. And you have to find your own sublet or something.

yep, MORE is great but requires an 11 month lease. Some of my friends in MORE, however, posted ads to sublet their room for the summer. The close proximity to campus and downtown should make it pretty easy to sublet, and you can set your own price, then you won't be losing so much money.

I'm having trouble figuring out where people get these stereotypes from. MORE residents aren't necessarily any "artier" than your typical upper rez or RVC resident. You might call them more independent, but definitely not artsy. I know two engineers and many science students in MORE houses.

That being said, I highly recommend a MORE house. Good luck on your selection.

Hmm, I guess that is such a stereotype. It's what the president of MORE housing said to me as well as some forum users.

Justatest, are you a mcgill student? Did you live in rez?
