Language courses

Do any current/former McGill students on here know anything about the intensity of Intensive language courses? Are they actually as hard and time consuming as McGill says they are? And is taking two in one term an absolutely ridiculous idea?

Also, a really quick question: What's the difference between elementary and beginning level language courses?

Don't take 2 intensive courses at once. 1 is manageable. You will have a lot of homework and usually a test or quiz every week.

i agree two intensive courses is far too much, there are only so many hours in a day you'd be willing to devote to course work.

Okay! That definitely sounds like too much then... to have 2 tests every week in language courses. Thank you for putting it in perspective!
