Kings Pointer

The King's Pointer leaves tomorrow to sail up the Hudson to visit West Point. Going to have a look-see around I hear. Will report back Sunday evening when they return.

It reminds me of that old movie, "The Wackiest Ship in the Army."

:P back Taffy. They'll be in their summer whites running around on campus. Think they'll stand out? LOL

If I don't get pictures, they'll be one less Mid walking around. Boss, orders were not to take any prisoners, "this time".

Boss had asked me a question & I thought I would post the answer here so everyone could see information on the training ship the Kings Pointer.

Sadly. I have to give an update now. Again sadly. The King's Pointer had to make a change of plans this morning due to weather conditions. They are really really close to CGA at the moment.

It rained buckets here....all day yesterday, all during the night- and all day today- when it REALLY came down! Not a great day for boating for sure!

and the wind! hope they didn't get too seasick out there!
if it's any consolation, it's supposed to clear by tomorrow!
want me to run some hot cocoa over to the gate?

Yep. It was rockin' & rollin' out there. 4 or 5 were hurling over the side (& else where) One Mid was sought out alot due to a tube of dramamine that his smart mom had sent him. I loved the statement that was made when it was sent. "Why would I need that? I'm a rough tough man of the Merchant Marine" Funny how it found its way inside a pocket and is now empty.... I hope it saved a few stomachs. From what I heard, they still had a pretty good trip and learned alot doing the hands-on stuff.

Navy2010, I think some of them would have loved to have seen a mom at the gate with hot chocolate! Poor things.
