Rent "Full Metal Jacket" and remember
1 It's only for three weeks
2 Lesser people than you have made it through this
3 Indoc is the easy part....you don't have to think, just do as you are told.
4 The real challenge comes when the classes start.
5 It's all just a mind game intended to teach you to put the needs of the
group ahead of your own.

DON'T take anything personally, stay under the radar and DON'T GET NOTICED!
There will be plenty of times when you'll wonder "what was I thinking???" But come Acceptance Day, when you get those wings pinned on, and see how incredibly proud your parents are, you'll know what a huge honor you have truly earned.
Hang in there - and eat 'em up!

why don't you establish some credibility before you go and bash these people? i don't know who you are, but you've already shot yourself in the foot on this forum... we're not here to see who has the best advice. leave opsdad alone. he's been writing a lot longer than you have and knows a thing or two.
all you've done on this forum is bash people... we don't need that here. if you want to be like that to people, go somewhere else. this forum is supposed to help people, not cut them down.
let's remember, we're all on the same side people! no need to berate and belittle each other...

Actually, the movie you want to watch beforehand is Top Gun, so you understand why everyone is singing "You've lost that loving feeling" in the shower...
Although, I'd say watching Full Metal Jacket is a good idea, than you can see where all the DIs get their lines from
