| Everybody will have their own opinion and it can go through cycles. I would say over the past several years the following programs have all been pretty good: Soccer, Sailing, Lacrosse, and probably one or two others I'm forgetting. |

| Ice Hockey....even though it's a club sport now they won their division. Word is that Ice Hockey will go varsity next season. |

| The wrestling program is the best athletic program at Kings Point.
They were undefeated in the conference and against all Division III teams they wrestled. They beat Division I Princeton and the only two losses in team matches were to Army and Rutgers both good Div. I programs. They came in 5th at the All Academy Tournament ahead of Div I VMI and 3 points behind the Air Force Academy.
They were ranked as high as 16th in the nation in Div III
They won the Centenial Conference Championship tournament and sent 4 wrestlers to Nationals.
Coach Tim Alger was Centenial Conference Coach of the Year.
Most importantly, they beat Coast Guard....no they shut out Coast Guard 38-0!
End of discussion. Wrestling is the best program at KP. |

| And despite that lopsided loss, Coast Guard still won their 5th straight Superintendent's Trophy. USCGA Clinches Fifth Straight Superintendent’s Trophy Over USMMA |

| If the Offshore Sailing Team is not the best, I'd be surprised.
My 3rd Classman heads off on the 630 mile Newport RI to Bermuda race in a week or so. This race is reserved for bluest of 'bluebloods', international monied folks and USMMA sailors. Their new boat (Belle Mente) actually WON the 2006 race !! GO KP !
The boats you sail at USMMA are some of the finest in the world. If you like the ocean, waves and wind (and I hope you do), the sailing team is not to be missed. |

| More specifically, try the newly formed Keelboat team. It's sort of an offshoot of the Offshore sailing program. This past weekend we sailed in the Sonar ACCs against an Olympic silver medalist and a Paralympics world champion, among others.
Also, sailing on a four person boat, you get a lot more experience with tactics and such than you do on a large boat like a Farr 40. |

| The Dinghy Sailing Team is and has been one of if not the best team on campus. They have outstanding performance and have the highest caliber sailors in the school. Just recently they attended College Sailing Nationals and took home 14th. Held at New York Yacht Club it was said to be the hardest College Sailing Nationals yet. USMMA was the top service academy (navy didn’t even qualify). Collegiate sailing consists of mostly D1 schools from all over the nation. The above is why they are the best. |
