You can bring Gold Bond, safety pins and duct tape and it should not be a problem. But really, anything extra that they need you can mail to them. Try to relax, take a breath, it's going to be a long four years and believe me there will be plenty to worry about. Try to pace yourselves.

Many mention to bring safety pins. What do they need them for?

Safety pins are used to keep their racks in order. If you will look in the Calendar you got at indoc, there is a photo of a tight rack there. That is the way the Candidates are expected to keep their racks all the time.
