Basketball

Does anyone know anything about the basketball team such as open gyms they might have before the tryouts in October? I sent an e-mail to the coach and he only said that tryouts are in October. If anyone knows anything about when there is time to practice or what not prior to tryouts I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

SeaKid011, while I can't speak specifically to basketball, "Meet the Coaches Night" is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28. However, if you have specific questions, you should feel free to call the coach on the telephone. Many KP varsity sports welcome walk-ons. One of the nice things about a small school with many of its second and third year students away at sea is that athletic talent is welcome. If you make your interest clear, sometimes the midshipman team captain will contact you about informal workouts, open gyms, and the like. This can vary depending on individual team captains, how busy they are, and the like.
