application questions

I'll be a high school senior this fall, and i am currently doing a application for UM. They asked me to select a school or college, but i didn't see any schools or colleges about business or math (want to major in actuarial science or statistics) on their given list, then which school should i select instead? And does UM care about EC/service hrs very much?

thank you

Select LSA, you need to get into LSA before you can apply to get into Ross (which is the school of business at Michigan), and LSA is also the college with the Math department within it. I don't know much about actuarial science, but statistics isdefinitely part of LSA, also. I'm not sure about the specifics for applying to Ross, but just make sure to point out you want to be a pre-admit to Ross whenever there is an indication on the application to do so.
UM, just like every other college, cares about EC and community service, but it comes as a secondary issue after the GPA and SAT.

You can apply to LSA with Preferred admit to Ross for your sophomore year. If you get in, and would rather stay in LSA in your sophomore year, go for it.
