Michigan or MSU?

I know it seems like it's a stupid question: Michigan or MSU, but I just don't know what to do.

I plan to get a BBA and...

Here's the situation:

University of Michigan: I recently got into LSA, probably rejected from Preferred Admit for Ross (I applied in late October and was deferred in December). I heard that Ross was extremely difficult to get into for the 3-Year Ross BBA Program; the website says they accept around 350 students each year.

Michigan State: I was accepted into the BROAD Freshman Program and the Summer Business Institute Program.

It's more likely that I am able to get into the Eli Broad College of Business, but I feel inclined to go to Michigan because, although MSU is a good school, UMich is better. Really the only thing holding me back from going to UMich next year is the difficulty of getting into Ross. Can someone provide me with some insight on what to do? It definitely doesn't help that I only have until April 10th to make my decision...

Try calling the MSU admissions office and ask about the diffculty of transfering from UMich-LSA to their business program. You'd end up paying more, but it's probably worth it to keep Ross an open possibility. If you can't get into Ross, then transfer to MSU.

In terms of Michigan, I was in the same position as you last year. I was accepted into LSA but not in the Pre-Admit program and I had also been accepted to other business schools at other universities. However, I still came here not knowing if I'd get into Ross the following year or not. Michigan is an amazing school and I have to say it's way better than MSU (I'm biased though ). There are SO many opportunities here and actually after being here for a year I decided I didn't even want to do business anymore and didn't apply this time around. I am now a Communications major and it's been a way better decision for me. Honestly, I think you should come here and you might even decide you don't want to do business at all. (Trust me, my entire life I was set on going to business school and ended up changing so it's possible). If you still want to do business and don't get into Ross you can explore other business-like majors here or transfer if your heart is set on it but COME HERE! Go blue

^ I wonder if that'll happen to me as well...*sigh* I've been accepted into good b-schools, but decided to take the risk of going to UMich...
