I highly doubt it has anything to do with your high school being down river.

With a 3.72 GPA, I'd say you have a good shot. What's your schedule like this semester (as in, are any of those non-AP classes honors classes or no)? Senior schedule strength will have a decent impact on whether or not you're admitted.

Best of luck!!

Yeah, I highly doubt my deferral has anything to do with the fact that I go to a downriver school. It's actually quite a good high school, many people come to Allen Park for school of choice. I have back-ups of course. Thanks for the help romanigypsyeyes! No, we don't really offer honor classes, just AP. This semester, I have AP Biology, Calculus, Debate, Newspaper Journalism, AP Government, and Psychology. Next semester, my Psychology and debate classes will be switched with Symphonic Choir and Drama. Although, I'm thinking about switching drama for college writing as it might look like a blow-off. Wish me luck!

Gotcha. In that case I'd say you have a pretty good shot! Best of luck and let us know how it turns out!

One more thing romanigypsyeyes, how many letters of recommendation do you think i should send with my follow-up letter? I have one from an AP class which I have my lowest grade in this quarter, one from my AP chem and regular chem teacher, one from the principal, one from my drama/AP lang teacher, and one from my Student Council sponsor.

Jwilson, you really don't need to send in that many recommendation letters! Since you were deferred, I'd send in 1 or 2 at the most (submit the strongest letters you can...the administrators/teachers that know you best etc.). They likely won't read the rest. Good luck!
