Quick, stupid questions about the online app.

When you're filling out the part on the application about all your high schools/colleges you've attended:

1. When they ask you for what certificates/degree you've earned, do they mean at this movement? I haven't eared anything yet obviously, but I plan on getting a diploma when I graduate! What should I put? Same with college credits. Do they mean how much I've earned now, or how many I plan to have before I graduate.

2. I dual enrolled at a community college to take a foreign language course. I did it because the french class wasn't offered at my high school. Do I still write on my app that I earned 8 credits? I don't want to transfer credits or anything, I took the classes for high school, not for college (but I ended up getting college credit too lol).

3. Are you supposed to print out the counselor part of the forum, give it to him/her, and have her mail it to MSU? Or do they fill it out online?

Thanks so much for answering my dumb questions!

1. How much you have now.
2. If you got college credit for it, why don't you want to transfer it?
3. When I applied (2 years ago) we had to print it out and give to the counsler, who mailed it to MSU.

For the college thing. The sheet I filled out to dual enroll stated that I'm earning both high school and college credit, but I'm sure colleges won't let me transfer credits since I'm using the class for high school credit.

So where it asks what certificate/degree I've earned for high school...I just put "none", right?

Thanks for the help!

Ah, okay, I never dual enrolled so I didn't know about the high school vs. college credit thing. Yep, just put "none."

You can definitely double count-credit (for both high school and college). It's really up to you.

And as far as degree, I'd put HS diploma - in progress (or something along that lines...then just list your start to end date as your graduation date). But it honestly doesn't matter...

For the degree, it's on a drop down menu so I can't do that. For my college credit...I don't plan on transferring, but should I just put that I earned 8 credits anyways?
