what have you done in regards to recruiting? Have you made contact with the Coach of the Crew team at all? Is there even a crew team? Your stats look excellent, but as I am also a high schooler applying ED to Midd I don't think I have the right to chance you, just to say good luck, maybe we'l be together next year!

You've done all you can. I'm not sure what Batsie expects you to do, but 'pesty', puerile kids do nothing more than give the admission officers a reason to D-Con ya! I'm sure Arcadia, the resident éminence grise, will concur.

Honestly, I would call admissions, ask if you can stay overnight, ask to meet with a professor in a department you like, have some good questions/ comments about specific classes taught and how they relate to your interests/future plans, and ask to speak with your admissions counselor once your application is in, and tell them politely but firmly that Midd is your absolute best fit and you really think you will be an asset. Just once, but I would do it. I'd be interested to hear what other people in the know think, but you have to make yourself stand out, and to me your stats don't.
I am trying to help you get in. You are ( I think) a non-ethnically interesting, not poor, excellent student from New England. There are maybe 60 spots for you. You have to stand out.
My son with better SATs, IB diploma 4.0 fab recs, ECs, writing awards from New York State etc etc was wait-listed. He didn't do enough early on -in my hind-sight opinion. this is what I suggest.Take it or leave it, but I mean well.

You have a good chance. The SAT scores are probably the weakest part of your application, but there are definitely admitted students in that score range, as well as below that score range.

One thing to keep in mind-- a lot of the recruited athletes are admitted ED, so don't get down on yourself if you get deferred!

Thanks for all of the advice, everyone. I realize that my SATs are not the greatest, but I'm content with them, considering I didn't have the resources to take any sort of class like Ivy Bound or Revolution Prep.
My other schools include Hamilton, Bowdoin, Colby, Holy Cross (MA), Georgetown, William & Mary, Dartmouth (no chance really, but applying anyways), Dickinson, and Boston College. Which ones do you think I have a better chance of acceptance? I know I should be accepted at Holy Cross, Dickinson, and BC, but you never know...

I went to Hamilton for undergrad and I would say our stats are comparable, so that could be a real possibility.

I would be quite surprised if you do not get into Hamilton, W&M, Bowdoin, Georgetown and Colby. You have a real shot at Dartmouth as well. You have excellent stats.

I would agree that it'd be surprising not to get into Dickinson, Hamilton and Colby. Georgetown? That's a reach and Dartmouth even more so. Of course, I am looking solely at the SATS (I believe Dartmouth requires two and GT requires two, recommends three SAT II's.) and while I dont know what Ivy Bound or Revolution Prep is (unless these are local SAT prep classes), perhaps it being known that you did not have that available to you will help. Usually however SATs and SAT II's only confirm what grades are. So if you've never gotten a B, the rigor of your HS might not be up there if you're getting under 700.

My theory is, however, that it matters little about any ONE piece and is about the big picture. You're big picture looks solid.

Your transcript looks really really nice, and, not to boast, it looks scarily similar to mine in so many ways. I'm applying ED too, but I'm a boy so it's not like we're contending for a spot or anything.
