rotc nom to west point

My son has a congressional nomination. His WP admissions officer advised him to get the ROTC nomination at his college so there would be another track. The deadline has been extended for him. Now the ROTC officer has delayed a week completing the forms altho my son is entitled to the nomination. He keeps telling him to check back in a few days.

Could the ROTC be delaying on purpose? This is my son's third try and he seems to be well quaified.

Doesn't the delay hurt his chances if the congressional nomination goes to a higher ranked nominee?

Where is your son at ROTC? My LT here at the UW in Seattle was/is extremely supportive of me reapplying to USNA. In fact, he was the one who contacted me about the ROTC nomination option, very early on in the year.

Your son's officer might not be delaying anything. It took my CO about two weeks before he wrote the letter of recommendation.

Good luck to him!

DMeix: Had to drop in a quick question. How's the lifestyle on Dagobah? I've heard the bugs are bad but the beaches are fantastic. Living near a 900 year old Jedi with mind powers is probably a little unsettling though.

I have a huge supply of Raid...

The beaches are a little slimy, but they grow on you...just watch out for the really big fish-things...i haven't seen my R2 unit for some time now...

About the Jedi...don't ever try to play chess with one...they always win...it's like they can see the future or something...
