Marine Corp Option

I am a senior in high school and was on the NWL for USMA and did not recieve an appointment. I will be going to the University of Georgia and doing ROTC on a full scholarship. Is it possible for me to do Marine Corp OCS and be comissioned as a Marine eventhough I'm in ROTC? Also if I reapply to West Point how difficult is it to do a Marine Corp comission instead of Army?

Your best bet for going Marine would be to get the MC ROTC scholarship, or go to USNA.

It is very difficult to get a USMC commission out of USMA. One or two are able to do it every year, but there must be some solid reasons why (long family history in the Marines, etc.) AND typically a mid at USNA will need to want to go Army--kind of a switch...but seriously, in my time there I saw maybe, MAYBE at max 3-4 people MAX get it, most years it is 1-2...so banking on that happening when your class could be nearly a 1000 in size is a pretty risky bet...GO ARMY
