HELP!!! Third Attempt at USMA

Hello everyone! This will be my third time applying to West Point and I want this more than anything. I am a sophomore at a MN University and in ROTC. I am very involved in many college activities and recently have been promoted to restaurant manager at my job. The low point to my application is my ACT score. Here is my background and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

High School:
GPA: 3.8 Graduated with honors.
Activities: JROTC, hockey, tennis, CHOICE (chemically free group), Venezuela Service Trip, and work at a restaurant (Cook).

College:
GPA: 3.3 (freshmen yr)
Activities: ROTC and in Rangers, Certified poll challenger 08 elections, VP of finance for resident halls at my university, work at restaurant (Manager), and American Red Cross Volunteer.

ACT : 22 (I plan to retake it for the 7th or 8th time)

I started the 2014 class application. Any advice in making this third attempt successful will be great.

finish the app ASAP. then continually email your region admission officer. i mean, if you email him or contact him a couple times a week and let him know how bad you want it, he can make it happen. He/she is the one who speaks on your file in front of the committee. if they share how dedicated you are with the panel it will be easier for them to say yes. finishing your app ASAP is one of the best ways to show dedication. being your third attempt helps in that area. let them know how bad you want it. you can get in.

perhaps the SAT may be better for you?

what is it that makes you want USMA so much as opposed to ROTC?

If the ACT is the known weak link in your application, then put your full attention on that task.

Hire a tutor to help you identify your weak areas and to create a personalized program designed to bolster your ability in those areas. Treat it like a strength and conditioning program. Find your weakness, establish a rehab program and then do the program every day until you've rehab your weakness. Yes, every day. As boring as it will be, you need to work on the ACT (or SAT) each and every day. You will improve. I guarantee it!

I don't know what preparation you've done for past tests but , if your ACT score is the only thing between you and a West Point appointment, then that's where I would be putting my time, effort and, if needed, money.

Good luck.
