R-Day letter: HELP!!!

I am getting ready for R-day, and I need some information that is lost in the mail somewhere. On my candidate page under admissible mailings, there are two mailings both mailed on June 10, and not published on the page. They just said to look for them in the mail. I sent an e-mail yesterday to admissions, when they still did not arrive, and have not heard back. I was an AOG prepster last year, and my mailings were going to the prep school address. I changed my address last month, and I am not sure where these letters went. I need to know what to bring and not to bring. A recent grad gave me his leatherman and told me to bring boots, underwear (do they have to be white) and undershirts. Is there anything else I need?? What is in those letters? The only thing I know is my reporting time. That's it. Any info would be appreciated. RockyII

Rocky,
Many of the candidates may be gone to NY already. Hopefully someone is still around to answer what the mailings were about. Did you ever receive the instructions for candidates booklet? That has all the packing information in it.

My son is class of 2011 so we are two years removed from R-day but I know there are few items you need to bring that seem to be the same every year. They are:

low quarters
running shoes
shaving kit
paperwork (bank form, SS card, travel receipts, etc)
drivers license or ID

Usually they tell you to bring boots also, but I have heard that this year they plan to just issue them to you during Beast. I think you could bring boots if you already have them.

I found an old thread about the packing list that may be of some use to you.
West Point Packing List

Good luck!

The thread was really helpful. The recent grad will be by on Sunday to say goodbye, so I will go over the list with him. If there is anyone out there with the 2013 list, please send me information. Tanks alot!!!!
