| for the few of you who asked about the success rate, it is true that there is no guarantee of an internship but it definitely helps. if for nothing else, you are forced to have a resume early on so it makes it so there is no last-minute scrambling. I would guess that most people got internships, and the ones who didn't probably did not try to hard to obtain one or only were looking for a certain area.
there are opportunities with companies that are open to only f/asip students so that makes the applicant pool a lot smaller. i ended up getting mine outside of the program through networking, which f/asip also makes use of and makes you aware of.
as for international internships, they are possible. i know that they were mentioned a few times in the seminars, but i wasn't paying too much attention because i wasn't looking for one. |
