How was CPW?

I didn't go
I'm still trying to make my decision...so I was wondering what it was like...

A-MAH-ZING!

Granted, I wasn't there to let CPW convince me to attend (I already sent back my matriculation letter prior to CPW); rather, I just wanted to skip some high school!

The heavy sleet on Thursday was a bummer, though. Aside from that, however, what with over 100 pages of activities crammed into a mere 4 days, there was no way you weren't going to find something you'd have an awesome time doing at all hours of the day.. and pitch-black night, for that matter!

coolest 4 days ever.
weather sucked, but the activities and traditions made up for it.

lots of fun. went to some good parties, met some really interesting people, and had fun looking around campus and meeting up with people that i know from places like this website or that used to go to my hs.

Underground CTF: best thing of my life. Can't beat running around MIT's basements at 4am trying to shake off some of those "commie reds".

total craziness. the school definitely has special atmosphere. I loved it. I was one of the lucky ones and got to stay until Tuesday (plane flight got canceled).

Actually, I'd say much of the running happened before 4. By 4, not only were we all ready to go, but one of our "jailguards" was falling asleep against one of the columns in Lobby 7, there were plenty of people who were tired and who'd walked out already, and the third game was called off around that time anyway.
Still, the COOLEST game of CTF I'd ever played. Twice I stayed up all night, and that Saturday morning I was just tired and slept in till 11-ish (albeit from about 3). Sooo much stuff to do, it was crazy.

krypton, I, too, went to CPW to skip school, not to decide, and it was definitely worth it! haha. I played CTF too! I was on the blue team! (were any of you?) Actually wait, looks like Dally says s/he was.

How about tangerine tours? I was tempted to start a thread on that, but decided against it. corinao--my fav part was the tangerine tour! Which was code for taking like 300 prefrosh up to the roof (not all at once) and although the campus police found us, I hear one group got up there, and it was still fun.

corinao--sorry, I just read how you wanted us to expand on our experiences, and I guess not many have. So, here's how my CPW went, in shortened form; ask for more details if interested.

Thurs:

1) went to psychology class, mainly to get out of the rain. boring.
2) Panel on MIT abroad opportunities. Interesting, but it could've been better.
3) Dinner at the Women's Independant Living Group--fun stuff.

Fri:

1) Went on a tour of the biological engineering facilities. Interesting, but learned that course 20 (which I think is BE) isn't quite for me.
2) Concourse class--differential equations. Pretty cool.
3) ESG class--biology. Also cool.
4) Tangerine Tour! Which others may expand on during this thread.

Sat:

1) Poked around Cambridge
2) friends went to battle of the bands. I didn't feel up to it, so I stayed back and talked with the people in my host dorm.
3) CTF at like 2am.

haha, my schedule sounds so bare! I swear I did more and made good use of my time, but those were the main events for me.
