what's the floor plan for a quad/triple at baker? is a quad 4 people in 1 room or like a suite of two rooms?
ive tried searching for floor plans on google to no prevail.

Once you get an Athena username and can therefore get certificates, you can access the floor plans for every building at MIT.

But to answer your question, a quad is four people in one room. None of the personal rooms in MIT dorms are more than one room -- even dorms that have suites have personal bedrooms with shared suite space like a lounge, kitchen, and bathroom. But the Baker quads are fairly big rooms, at least -- they don't feel super-crowded, at least not in the limited time that I've spent hanging out in some.

Yeah, even with 4 people in one room, there is plenty of space. The triples and quads in Baker tend to be huge rooms that can be arranged so that there is plenty of room to work as well as have a fairly large "common space" for couches, etc. I don't know anyone who lived in a quad who didn't love it, so don't think of it as a reason not to live in a certain dorm (whichever dorm that may be)

Heck, I was in a forced triple in McCormick and thought it was quite big - when I found out usually it's just for two people, I was pretty amazed. (During CPW, there were 5 of us in this room with no problem - 3 freshmen and 2 prefrosh.)
