mission 2012 - enroll or not ?

Dear Class of MIT2012: It could be a dumb question for many of you but do I really need to enroll for this class as I enter MIT class of 2012. Essentially mission 2012 does not interest me but what would i be missing if I donot become a part of this..

would appreciate comments..

Mission 2012 is a giant project class - it's a good way to get involved in Course 12 and to meet people with similar interests, and get some credit. But if you're not interested in Course 12, there are other ways to meet people - ESG, clubs, etc. You can to Advising Seminars (or any seminar).

Don't do Mission just because you think you should - that's what I did, and I dropped it after 3 weeks. Do something fun that you will enjoy =D.

You definitely don't need to enroll in Mission. A lot of people who do it have a great time, but if it's not up your alley, don't even give it a second thought.
