Change class times?

How do i change the recitation time for classes and change a 8.01 to another section?

Right now I have classes at 9 on MWF, but classes at 11 on TR with 1- 2 hour gaps between each class. I really hate schedule as of right now.

Try talking to the prof and/or relevant TAs.

Also, not that I mind answering your questions, but I bet that your new living group-mates would be happy to answer questions like this, and you'd get an answer faster than posting here.

I believe you can also do it on Stellar for classes that use it. There once was a list online of websites to use (or procedures to do when the process can not be done online) to change recitations for classes, but I can't find it. As an example, Course 18 classes used a website called gluonsandquarks.com (something like that) to change recitations, but the MIT Math Department website is being overhauled at the moment, so I think that's down.

Hey, you're in my 8.01 class!

...so you totally heard the professor today when he said to e-mail that guy who organizes all of the section changes, and you saw his name written on the board I'm fine with my 9 am class (for now anyway) so I didn't jot down this information, sorry! But PM me if you need the e-mail addresses of our TAs so you can ask them who to ask. It's also probably on our course website.

I'm sure you've figured it out by now...

But for future reference and if you still have problems, the first week or so of classes is like a grace period. Just show up to the class times you want (or the classes you want to be in!) and talk to the professors at the end of the class.

This same strategy works with recitation times. Look at student.mit.edu and find the subject listing. Then show up to whatever recitation you want to be in and tell the TA you want that recitation. They'll probably pass around a sign up sheet in the first two weeks. After the first few weeks, email the head TA or the professors involved to switch class times or recitation sections.
