Why not? Unless the idea of moving twice in 3 months is appealing to you, staying right where you are is probably the best option. Summer period is shorter than term, so housing is cheaper accordingly. Apartments in this area that are competitively priced are NOT easy to find, and the search takes a lot more time than you have probably before your UROP starts, and a lot more devotion than most people are willing to put in during term. I was kicked out of my room last summer for abating, and I moved into another dorm on campus and though it was fun to live somewhere new, it was so stressful moving all my things back and forth, and I don't think I would have been able to do it without my parents living so close and driving up to help me.
Think about it. And if you still want to go, try craigslist for sublets, and FSILGs have summer policies that you should read up on.
