Informal recruitment for sororities?

Hey guys. So at the start of the year I was totally put off by the idea of joining a sorority, so I didn't even take a second glance at rush/recruitment events. However, this semester I've gotten interested in potentially joining a sorority for the fall semester.

My question: since I will be non-frosh student, that makes me ineligible for fall recruitment since it's only for the froshlings, right? What does a non-frosh do to join a sorority? I've heard of "informal recruitment" but I feel that it may not give me enough of a scope about what each sorority is about, especially when I don't know anyone in some of them - AEP, Pi Beta Phi, and APhi, to be exact.

(That said, if any current sisters from -any- sorority want to show me around your house and tell me a bit about your sorority, I'd be delighted!)

You can follow the same recruitment as everyone else in the beginning of fall I've heard of seniors joining sororities, so while being a sophomore is a little rarer it's not a problem.
