film community at mit

Anyone know if there are any, and particularly people who like making films/videos?

One of my good guy friends at MIT went on to a master's program in screenwriting at USC and is now working in Hollywood.

Mechanical engineering, actually, with a good GPA and research experience. But he took a bunch of the theatre 21M classes, including the one(s?) on screenwriting, and he wrote a few full screenplays before graduating. He could have become an engineer, and he had a job lined up before he found out he was accepted at USC, but writing was always his dream.

There's also a lot of clubs that are centered around theater and film. Here's the link to the clubs at MIT that focus on the arts.

Yes.

While you can find plenty of non-CMS majors with such interests, a CMS major would probably be the right sort to ask.
