did anyone of you people who got accepted have a 3.7 - 3.8 gpa in high school?

Probably. Only prospective students talk about high school GPAs.

You might try checking the admissions website. I bet they have statistics and stuff about admitted students.

Nah, MIT has absolutely no data concerning GPA's. I think they want everyone to apply.

MIT Admissions: Admissions Statistics

Go down to the section "Percentage of those Ranked who are." It doesn't list exact GPAs, but it gives you an idea.
