Muhlenberg majoring Questions

Would it be possible to major in theater and voice, and minor in dance?
I also read on the website that you can have more than one concentration, like acting and directing etc. Are you allowed to have more than one concentration if you are double majoring?

And would it be possible to major in theater, minor in Both dance and voice, and then have another major in like education?

You don't have to minor in dance and voice, which would require taking courses that are not performance or studio courses. Some students simply take as many performance/studio course in voice and dance as they can Conceivably, a student could double major in acting (theater performance) and education and simply take dance and voice classes as electives. Talk to an admissions counselor; they are knowledgeable about how you can be creative in structuring your curriculum to meet individual desires.

I agree with MichaelNKat's advice. My D is a music and acting major. She can take as many dance classes as she is able to fit into her schedule. If you are a music major your voice lessons are included as part of the major. If not, you have to pay extra for them.
Many kids there do double majors, and I am sure you could add the ed certificate without too much trouble.

When my d was looking at colleges, she was considering going into teaching, but also wanted the dance major. At Muhlenberg, she was told that it was very difficult to major in education and a performing art because of the timing of classes, rehearsals and externships. At Muhlenberg, education students are put into the classroom while they are still freshmen, and it can be very difficult to schedule those experiences along with rehearsals and other classes.

You do need to discuss these options with the education department, as well as the theater and voice departments.
