Visit Ideas?

D is doing her campus tour next week along with interview and attending a few classes. It is an active day for her and she will be busy for about 6 hours or more. Any ideas or recommendations for what a parent can do to kill the time, any place to hang out and read on campus or off? Any ideas appreciated!

We were there a few weeks ago and stumbled on this:
Welcome to The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley

Very nice; restaurants, movie theatre and I think a Barnes and Noble.....cute shops too.!!

Thanks Rodney, that is very helpful. Where are the best places to hang out on campus or within walking distance? I am not familiar with the Muhlenberg campus or area. I think we will stop by that shopping plaza you mentioned after our visit.

We pretty much did the same as Rodney during our day trip on Columbus Day. I had my two daughters (13 and 10) with me, so we shopped, ate lunch, saw a movie. Pretty much filled the day.We did have breakfast in Seegers Union. It was fun to kind of fade back and observe a little bit of a typical college morning.

Check the theater/music schedule. Maybe you can catch a performance while you are in town. Don't know if your D is interested in performing arts, but the programs are first rate and the kids put their whole heart and soul into it!

Let us all know what other spots you find. DS is heading back in a few weeks for his audition with the theater department. I'm not sure I can handle another full shopping day!

Bobby: walking distance; Farmer's Market but only open on weekends (I think); there's also a small strip mall with a Panera within walking distance as well...but six hours is gonna drag for stuff within walking distance...if you want to wait until the end of the visit to go to the place I suggested, maybe you can frequent the Lehigh Valley Mall during the visit or check out the neighborhood on Tighman Street (sp?) up by Wegmans etc....
