What is an early read on financial aid and how does it work?

Hi Zoosermom,

The Early Read is for students who are seriously considering applying Early Decision, but are hesitant to do so because of financial concerns. To my knowlege, the Early Read would require you to submit a hard copy of the CSS Profile, high school transcript with SAT/ACT scores, and a brief cover letter asking for the Early Read. The cover letter should have an indication that the student is interested in applying ED. I would encourage you to call or email the Financial Aid Office for more details.
