as awful as this sounds, did those of you who did not make the top fifty, were you informed? Like did you receive a rejection email? I haven't received any email from wsu about my medstart app since i sent it in.

Hey guys, first time posting, so sorry if I do something wrong!

I was accepted to in the top 50 by email - a couple kids from my school also didn't get an email, but kids who did get rejected got emails, so can't help there

Stats:
GPA UW: 3.87 (competitive school)
ACT: 33
BIO SAT II: 730 (no SAT I)
6 AP classes this year and last year, 1 AP class sophomore year

EC: research all of last summer and all this school year - co-author on 3 published papers
shadowed general physician ~10 hours, maybe less
volunteered like crazy for my youth group, biology tutoring, spanish tutoring, NHS, SHS, my school's class leadership, my church's sunday school, a reading clinic, and political campaigns (over 700 hours over the last two years)

I got into the Top 50 too. I didn't get an email, so I called.

you guys mean top 65, right? in the rejection e-mail, it said 315 people applied and 65 got interviews. 20% of all applicants got interviews!! CRAZY

congrats! I still wish I would just get an email already. The wait is killing me!
I'm going to call, but i can't find the right number. I've looked all over the wayne state site with no luck. I know it is probably right in front of my face, but could someone help me out?

In the email it said "Hello MedStart Top 50..."
So I don't know what the 65 is about!
The person who sent the email was Nancy Galster (313) 577-8523 (office)

Congrats! I didn't receive an email, so I called the Honors College earlier today. They had to resend the sweet but crushing rejection notice. Oh well, I tried my best. Good luck everyone who got an interview!

That is too bad indian11, if it makes you feel better I am expecting to get the same email.
I wonder why so many of the emails didn't send? It sounds like a pretty good amount of people didn't recieve emails.

my e-mail says, "This year's MedStart applicant pool (315) was our highest ever; over one-third of the applicants was from out-of-state. We had higher GPAs and test scores with far more students participating in health care, service and team activities than in previous years. We spent two weeks reading all the applications and determining our semi-finalist list of 65.................." nothing about 50 throughout the e-mail.
