Oh sure...tell that to those Harvard grads who got admission into second or third tier med schools...or had to take a year off before reapplying once again.
I think that if a person is absolutely certain of a career in medicine, then take the BA/MD option, especially at a place like Brown. But don't chose Harvard with the mind set that if admission into such a place was possible, then a top tier medical school admission is a certainty. This is ideal thinking that is not necessarily true.

I know Brown is great and all, but do you really want to spend 8 years in one place?

I 2nd glucose
Providence isnt the most exciting place to stay for 8 yrs. If you work dilligently, getting into a better med school than Brown wont be a problem from Harvard. Live it up and start packing up for Cambridge.
