We have not heard from NEC yet either. I would have thought at the latest today's mail as well. S has emailed his NEC admissions contact to ask about the notification. Hope to hear back first thing Monday. Haven't heard from Peabody yet either...another email sent. So far, no pressure, but we really need the offers so that we can figure out the top two and see if we need to negotiate on additional merit award. S knows of a composition major and brass major that have their packets.

I'm also still waiting for my McGill results... according to Minerva my audition is yet to be processed, even though it was well over a month ago. It seems weird that they send out some results after April 1...

Thanks and congratulations once more to sthflorida and son, and to rubycmom and daughter.
SpiritManager, I corresponded with violadad a month or two back to ask just that question and he was fine then. He has just been using his time for other things.

To those waiting for news-
S did not receive NEC acceptance until 4/1 last year. We are in the Northwest. Others last year heard as early as 3/25. Good luck to you.

Octaves and others re: NEC. My son has not received his letter yet either (we're in the Northwest) but we've been told that it was sent on Wed of this last week. He had gotten an email from the financial aid office on Wed asking for some info that they needed (because's he's a transfer student) before making him an aid offer. They would not tell us what was in the letter but, obviously, we're hopeful. Anyway, I guess the mail is taking a bit of time to get across to some of us!
I wonder if everyone has heard from NYU? That and NEC are the last remaining for my son.

Thanks knittingGene and SoundMom for the information. My son's friends have all received information from NEC. Few teachers at schools he was accepted at wants some answers but he can't even think about discussing with anyone until he hears back from NEC.

S was accepted to Vassar College, double major Performance and Physics. We're still waiting for the financial aid letter, but so far no word on scholarships from them.

Congratulations to singingsophomore and to trumpetguy's mom and son. Congratulations also to wrensong's son and Glamourazzi for their acceptances to Berklee, with hopefully more information to follow, as noted on another thread.
trumpetguysmom, I do not see a Performance major at Vassar, only a BA in Music. I am going to list this as a BA with majors in Music and Physics unless you tell me that I missed something on the Vassar website.

BassDad, in reference to S's Columbia/Juilliard Exchange, I did confirm that both schools have admitted him to their individual school, as well as to the Exchange. Happy day. And also incredibly confused how in the world is anyone supposed to make a choice among these options day.
Good luck to everyone still waiting, and for everyone making a decision, I wish you wisdom and peace.
