Going through the same thing here, their system is obviously overwhelmed. We called to confirm the files got there several days ago, they said they would call back and as of yesterday afternoon hadn't. I would def make sure it was out there,be sad to miss out because you thought it was there and it wasn't.

I haven't received my email, but when I logged out and logged back in to the video upload page, I had a "Congratulations, your materials have been submitted" message in green. So I think I'm good! The message said I'd receive confirmation in 24 hours.

One of the important thing for this YOUNGARTS is the chance to be Presidential Scholar. However, only senior will be considered for Presidential scholar. If I am younger than senior, I will wait when I become Senior even though they told they will review file at the year when I become a senior. Don't you think so?

It's traditionally somewhere around that time becuase they need time to finalize ticket information.

My S received a phone call from Young Arts yesterday, but he wasn't home at the time. He tried calling back today, but just played telephone tag. We are assuming (hoping) that he is a finalist since we heard that all the finalists were contacted yesterday. But he hasn't received an email - that would be nice. Classical voice, btw.

Finally...confirmation that S is indeed a finalist for classical voice. Very exciting. But now to tell his choir and theatre teachers that he will miss All State choir auditions and tech week for the high school musical (and of course, he's the lead). We warned them that this might happen, but I don't think they believed us.
