How is Balwin-Wallace in the area of scholarship money? Do they give much in the area of talnet/academic merit? We probably won't qualify for much based on need. Thanks a lot for all the information. This board is invaluable!!

I've applied to BW, and they seem pretty generous with their academic scholarships.

Minimum 22 ACT / 1030 SAT (Critical reading & math). Minimum 3.3 GPA OR rank in the top 30% ---> Deans Scholarship, $6,500

Minimum 24 ACT / 1080 SAT. Minimum 3.6 GPA OR rank in the top 20% ---> Trustees Scholarship, $9,000

Minimum 26 ACT / 1170 SAT. Minimum 3.9 GPA OR rank in the top 10% ---> Presidential Scholarship, $12,000

I checked with their admission counselor when they visited my school, and you automatically get these awards if you meet these requirements. They're all renewable for four years, depending on academic standing.

There are also Conservatory Talent Awards ranging from $1,000 to $4,000, also renewable.

Yes, I have heard the same thing about the scholarship money. We are anxiously waiting to hear from them. I think we have to wait until March!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure their website said March 20. The waiting's the worst part . . .
