| You might give Anne Moss a call. She is located near the U. of Cincinnati and has a lot of experience getting students ready for college auditions. Her studio is called the Music House - not to be confused with the music store of the same name in N. KY. Anne was my D's first voice teacher. She's a very dynamic individual. You might also call the Musical Arts Center. It's located on Madison Road in Cinci. The studio was started by a voice teacher and, though they offer instruction in many areas, their specialty is voice lessons. Another excellent teacher is Alison Acord, who is located in Northside. She was a voice faculty member at CCM, but I do not believe she is teaching with them any longer. Alison may be willing to take on a talented H.S. student.
Sometimes voice faculty at CCM will give private lessons to H.S. students. Some faculty offer lessons through the prep department and others teach on their own. They will generally require an audition. I would talk to the prep dept. director about studying with a faculty member if you are interested. |
