how long does it take after an audition?

i recently auditioned at chapman university, and still have three other schools to audition at . . . my question is, how long does it take to recieve a rejection/acceptance letter?

and another question . . .

i have a dilema because i want to major in music, my teacher is a proffesor at my top list school, but the audition material is four pieces and i only have three perfected. i am NOT good at bach lol, and that is whats killing me, but i could probably get around that though, i auditioned at chapman and the teacher thought my first song was beautiful, so i hope they wont remember the bad parts . . . or maybe they will . . . but i really like chapman now after visiting, and now its choose between chapman or UoP, a teacher that i like a lot, or start new. and also, get into chapman as a performance major, or reaudition in august for performance at UoP because i probably wont get in the first time . . . the thing is that i wont be guaranteed that if i reaudition at uop that i will get in, and if i choose to do that, then i cant go back to chapman . . . confusing . . . help lol

Depends on the school, but don't worry. With the exception of Early Decision, All schools get you an answer by April 1 and you have until May 1 to give you answer back.

There will be some variations in how long you have to wait! My D has had 2 auditions (voice) so far, on the last 2 Saturdays (Syracuse U. and SUNY Fredonia). SU said results will go out in mid-March, Fredonia uses a form of "rolling" admissions. After the first 3 audition dates (ie: a week from now), the first round of letters to those they definitely accept or reject will go out. The kids in the middle are effectively "wait-listed", with final decisions not being made until all auditions have been heard. I wouldn't be surprised if other schools do this, it makes sense.
