Actually, I haven't done any theater for a few years...I do sing in a very fine choir, however.

OK, If we are going to list our theater credits, I might as well come clean too...

Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Lazar Wolf in Fiddler, Big Jule in Guys and Dolls, and just about every bass role in the Gilbert & Sullivan canon (favorites being The Mikado, Sir Roderick Murgatroyd and the Sergeant of Police).

Lets see about JD:

The voice you hear when calling several toll free numbers for a major national charity. (one hat I get to wear)

An expert hypermiler that is always willing to give free lessons on that skill, especially now with the price of a certain commodity climbing.

As for horn experience - well there was that time about thirty years ago when I did a photo shoot for a hot summer night - cool jazz concert..First froze the instruments after a quick water spray, then packed them in champagne buckets full of ice to get the effect that was wanted. I had no idea I would damage the instruments...really! Talk about some unhappy parents from where the donor instruments came from. The pictures were pretty good however.

Here's a really embarrassing admission: I used to be a mime.

JDOH -- I can't believe you are still alive.

jazzzmomm -- I've known a few musicians I wished were mimes

Getting back to the Pittsburgh theme, I was born and raised there. However, after living in Wisconsin for the past 30 years, the Steelers are my # 2 team.

I also did a couple of plays in high school - chorus in Hello Dolly and Penny in You Can't Take it With You. These days, I only act at my job....

Well, I used to play the flute and piccolo but got tired of holding my arms in the air. Then I took up the string bass, but that was before stools, and I did not like standing through rehearsals or lugging the thing around. So....then I took up singing, so I could just be emotive. Meanwhile I am really good at reading the extremes of bass and treble clefs when I am at the piano.

Binx, very funny! I am so non-musical that all I would be able to do is mime it. The closest thing to music on my side of the family is my grandfather who played piano in silent movie theatres in Wash DC!

Well, jazzzmomm, that grandfather had a stronger talent than the fellow who plays piano silently and is dubbed in the present day movies.
