Finalists were notified today! I have three friends in for art, one for straight theatre, and I got a phone message but wasn't home in time to call back. So hopefully I'm a finalist too, in writing or art, (I submitted for both), but the point is that finalists in all areas have been notified. They should release HM names relatively soon as well, and that's a huge honor too, so if you didn't get a call, it's not completely over!

Exciting! I know in D's year calls went out over a few days, and last year they were even slower, so it's possible that not everyone was called today. This is also about a week earlier than D's year, though, so maybe they've refined their process.
Those of you going to Miami are in for a wonderful week!

Apparently S got a voice mail message from Young Arts yesterday while he was out. They want him to call back, so fingers crossed. Classical voice, btw.

It seems a bunch of people were called yesterday, in (all?) disciplines (I've seen on twitter that people were called for Writing, at least). Does anyone know if all calls for Finalists were made yesterday? I know that calls are continuing through mid-December, but perhaps those are just for HM or Merit? Thanks, and good luck to everyone!
