| Okay, this is an old thread (and I'm new here, so hopefully I'm not breaking any "dead thread revival" etiquette...) but I wanted to add to the OP that one place to consider for strong summer ballet training, including for beginners and college-aged students, is Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Carlisle, PA. They have a 5-week summer program that serves dancers from beginners (kids and adults) to professional ballet dancers. There's opportunities to take some supplemental classes in jazz, etc.
This, unlike many of the summer dance program, is nonaudition (although experienced dancers will take a placement class). The staff there does a great job in making sure that students are appropriately placed, the teaching is excellent. There is also a 2-week August course for those unable to attend for 5 weeks.
Something for future reference, maybe. |
