Scad

Savannah College of Art and Design. Anyone know anything about it? Isn't this school a non-audition BFA?

Go to the Arts thread on this forum: you will find LOADS of information/discussion about SCAD in general, reaching back awhile. Not that much discusses the drama/musical theater/performance major, but rather the school in general. People seem to have very strong emotions/opinions about SCAD.

I agree completely with NotMamaRose. I've never run across a school that garners such strong opinions so quickly. I know a former MT professor from SCAD. I would not post for him, but maybe I can get his opinion and send it along to you. Or better yet, have him post.

I guess what I can tell you for certain is that there does seem to be a large turnover in the faculty. It could be just perception, but the ads run on a regular basis. That normally indicates some type of difficulty. However, I must say in all fairness, I have no emperical evidence that one member is leaving, it could be they are just growing so quickly they are always looking for faculty. It might be a question you want to ask - find out how long each faculty member you would be working with has been there.

Good luck.
