Will This Essay Work?

Basically the only essay I have written at this point is my "personal statement" which I'm going to use on the commonapp, and hooooopefully the NMF app. In a nutshell, it's basically my journey as an athlete and how that has changed my perspective and stuff.

Do you think this qualifies as "an experience I've had"? Normally I think of an experience as a sort of short term thing but the essay covers several years. I really don't think I can craft a comparable essay in the next couple days.

Thanks.

napalm2013...I think that would be fine for your essay. IMHO any type of "journey" that one goes through (athletic, religious, emotional, etc.) would certainly qualify as an experience. You may even have to boil down the Common App essay to fit the NMSF application, since I believe there are less characters in the NMSF app. Good Luck!!
