Virginia is close tooo.....just above the state line in VaBeach. And don't bother trying to guess what base...there are like 15 around here. LOL

NAB Little Creek
FCTCLANT Dam Neck
NAS Oceana
NSY Portsmouth
NSY Newport News

Those are the ones I remember off-hand. I was at NOB and FCTCLANT.

Well NOB Norfolk (which actually is just Norfolk Naval Station now...us locals still call it NOB though) should count for several bases

. Besides, you only named Navy Bases.

Some others off the top of my head...
Langley AFB
Ft. Monroe
Ft. Eustis
Ft. Story
NATO
JFC

Considering Norfolk is the largest Navy Base in the world, I tend to agree. Hopefully they will base the USS George Bush here to replace the departing George Washington. A George for a George, seems fair does it not?
