| Ask a Plebe...
Hey everyone!
Im currently a plebe at the Academy so if anyone has any questions you can send them my way. They can be about anything you want to know about and Ill do my best to answer them. I was on this site quite a bit during my application/waiting process and recieved a lot of good (and bad) gouge on the acadmy so Ill do my best to just tell you like it is.
If you dont want to post something, you can message me, and if youre a guy with a guy question (Im a girl) I can ask my guy friends whatever you need to know.
:-) Cheers!

I am attending the CVW on Feb. 8th. Do you know if the "drags" are evaluated by the plebe that has been assigned to them? Have you heard if the CVW has any bearing on the admission process?
Congratulations on your appointment and surviving plebe summer.

Do you know if candidates need to bring bedding along for CVW? It wasn't listed on the invitation but several posts have stated it might be necessary.
Thank you so much for being willing to take time out of your busy schedule to answer our questions.

mdlrnc- I dont know if the plebe fills out an evaluation- I havent heard a yes or no either way. My roomie has hosted some CC recruits and didnt have to fill out an eval. A lot of people that come on CVWs are not sure that they want to come here or not so Im imaging it isnt a graded thing, its more just informational for the drag, so i dont think itll have any bearing on addmissions. I will ask around tonight for you and get back with some better word.
Eaglemom- Candidates get a cot at least. We have an extra pillow and blanket in my room so we give them to our drags but I cant say that everyone has extras. If the plebe has a blanket they will give it to them. Id say the best thing to do is bring a linen blanket that wont take up to much room just in case. The rooms are heated so it will be warm enough. Id say chances are pretty good your plebe will have something for them tho.

I am looking to be class of 2012, and I too appreciate you taking time out of your exhausting schedule to help us out.

APan, are you posting from the Hall?
Glad you're here. I need to turn over the mantle of resident Alum/Mid (and occaisional troublemaker) to someone with more current knowledge than my own. I'll occaisionally stumble through to see if anyone has any questions only some old fart can answer.
I stand relieved.

Thanks for distinguished service, Z-man!
You've given us "chief's" duty.
How goes the new assignment?
Don't be a stranger! We've been going thru withdrawal of your harangue and harassment. Sorta like going from plebe to youngster, maybe? |

The new assignment goes well, considering I've only been here a week.
As for me, the e-mail address on my account still works, and a few of the regulars have my phone number. Other than that, I'll pop in and out every now and then just to see if I can get a word in edgewise past GA's imitations of CNN. |
