Contacting USNA Admissions Med...

i'm debating whether I should contact the people over at Admissions in charge of the medical stuff....

i'm sure i'm just being paranoid, but...when i had first completed dodmerb i had been disqualified for a skin condition (which was definitely misdiagnosed). So I submitted 'new findings' after going to a dermatologist, and that constituted a rebuttal, meaning that disqualification got taken off my record. So now, it's just a waiver for my vision (which according to dodmerb is waiverable) that i'm worried about. I have an LOA, and i've heard that USNA isn't required to put a limit on the number of waivers they give for that anymore....so, it's really just a matter of waiting i guess. my only thought is that maybe USNA for some reason doesn't have the updated info, saying I don't have that skin thing....I'm not really sure, but I'd hate to hassle them over in admissions (my RO said sit tight and that they'll take care of all the paperwork, and that there was nothing I could do about it)....any opinion?

The admissions people won't comment on the DODMERB stuff, as far as I've been able to tell. We're in the same boat re an eye waiver and have been told to sit tight. As long as DODMERB's site is updated with your info, it'll be at USNA I beleive...

Hurry up and wait - the age old motto applies here!

I think we got paid back for being nice guys and responding to your post today E11 wemzer. I just checked the DODMERB site and found that our status now reads WAIVER GRANTED! See post....not sure if this waiver covers both the eyes and the knees, but at least things look to be moving along!

Good luck with yours - I'll post when/if I find out if the eye waiver is part of this update.
