Question about notification of offer of NAPS........
How does that come? In a regular business size envelope? Is if from the Naval Academy or from NAPS? Is it folded? Is it 8x11? Color? Outside return address? Does it looked like a rejection letter from the academy??????
Just trying to prepare myself for when my daughter gets something! Everyone gets something at some point, even if it is a rejection, right?
My daughter's BGO told her that last year or maybe a couple of years ago, one of his candidate got a notice that he was not given an appointment. Then a few weeks later was offered NAPS. Talk about a roller coaster ride.....and my impression (and I might be wrong) was that there was no indication in the rejection letter that NAPS would be offered. Talk about going from the outhouse to the penthouse in one breath.
We're hoping that she at least gets NAPS. She is just barely 17 and I thought I read here or somewhere that the academy is not big on appointing candidates who will not be 18 by the time plebe summer starts.
Anyway, I'd like to know what we might be in for if she DOESN'T get a big envelope with a blue binder in it!
