my daughter called her admissions officer at USNA (not her BGO)
if you don't know who the officer is, you just call admissions and they ask what state you are from and they direct the call to the correct person.

Does the letter give an itinerary? If so, can anyone post it?

We found out from admissions today that we are waitlisted for USNA SS. I guess this could be worse, but it would be nice to know for sure for planning purposes. We are admitted to USMA Summer Leadership week and need to commit to one of the June sessions by 1 May. Unfortunately, this has potential for conflicting with whatever SS session USNA may give us. If it comes down to a choice between the two we will go with NAVY. To maximize chances we said we would take any of the three. Some questions:
1) Does anyone have any idea what % of the waitlisted candidates get offered a slot?
2) How "down to the wire" do we need to be prepared for - a weeks notice? Less than a week?
3) How is the order of notification of waitlisted candidates determined? Will admissions share where we are on the "list"? We would welcome any insight from others who have gone through this. Thanks!

My son couldn't stand to wait and called the admissions office yesterday, he has a spot for NASS 3. We are thrilled!

I am especially happy that we can book his flight now and not pay a fortune if we had to book it days before. Okay, it's not as large a fortune at the moment.

I was just reading some of the other posts about the CFA and was wondering about the B-ball toss. What is the technique for the toss? On your knees? Standing up? From the chest? Overhead? And also, what is a decent score for it?

You don't get your itenerary until your paperwork is received and your spot is confirmed. Believe me, they send A LOT of paperwork. I would just suggest you make copies of everything you sign/send and hold onto it. Just in case.

You will ALL have the time of your life!

Thanks Kathie for the CFA instructions. That helps out a lot. I just sent the registration fee and all of the paperwork in a few days ago to confirm a spot. Thanks a lot!
