My report time is 0630. At least it won't be so hot that early.

WOW! That SF-86 form is a doozy. Like 15 pages! I got 0830 which I hope does not correspond to the company you are in because I cannot be in 25th company. Anything but 25th company!

My brother was a firstie that trained the firsties who will be training class of 2012. He was in 25th company and if they recognize the last name, I am toast.

Nothing against the people in 25th, but I just don't want my life to be even more of a hell over the summer because they have a bone to pick. :-)

Ah, that makes sense. No need to stand out more than you have to.

I was a drag with 25th during CVW, so I'm hoping to get assigned there.

Just read a few things in the included book. One it said that you may wear a wrist watch (for those runners out there who were wondering earlier). It also said that you won't find out your company, platoon, etc. until you report on I-day. Is this typical?

^^^^ As for the wrist watch - it said the same for the class of 2010 - son's wrist watch was taken away and returned in August when they went to the Orioles game. Booklet is generalities - training is up to the individual companies.

The paper work isn't too bad, it only took a few hours. The thing that will take the longest is the academic background information you submit on CABS and that's only because of the math placement tests. See you at 0830 TXinAK.

You can wear your watch, but it will be taken away. Hopefully it will not be lost. Consider leaving it at home- parents can mail when you "rate" knowing the time, or they can bring it with them if visiting for PPW.

NT is correct in that some companies allowed watches for the Orioles game.... however some did not.

I did the math placement test last night. Told me I did excellent on the placement test part and then asked me if I wanted to take the calc. I took the calc and it didn't tell me anything (I am hoping that it shouldn't because I though I did pretty well). There were a few things that were hard to read on the computer screen but it went OK. Did take a long time though.

A friend of mine in 2011 said that she called in the beginning of June and found out her company.
