My son's packet was also missing the SF-86 -- he was able to download it from the CIS site and print it out. Unfortunately, my husband had already mailed the rest of the materials that were to go in the postage-paid envelope (he was only supposed to make copies!), so my son called admissions for guidance. He was told to mail the form to the same address: U S Naval Academy, Commandant of Midshipmen, 101 Buchanan Road RM 4001, Annapolis MD 21402-9904. So it was just sent separately. |

| Several times in this thread people have mentioned going through the CIS to access PTR forms and placement tests. My daughter's medical waiver just came through last week, so her CIS page still shows the same as before being offered an Appointment. Does anyone have any idea how long it might be before she can access the PTR and other info? Thanks |

| I have not finished the Math placement test yet, but if you don't do well enough and have to take Pre Calc and Calc 1 as a plebe does that mean you will have to take summer school? Curious because Im not sure how I will do since I have taken Math classes non related to calc or algebra the last two years. |

| 2012mom,
The forms and test are at Candidate Information - AcDean & Provost - USNA
There are surveys and Calc tests. I hope this helps until she gets her paperwork. Congrats to your daughter and your family. |

| tielir999, I've had a horrible calculus teacher for the past two years, so I'm definitely feeling you. We haven't had an assignment or test during this year (nor has he graded anything) so I definitely feel out of practice with this math placement exam. |

I was wondering what people with an early reporting time do while waiting for everyone else to report? Do they just end up getting yelled at for a longer period of time? I can't image they'd give them downtime
| no, no downtime.
From "what I heard" (and what I can recall!!! )those reporting in early had a bit more time to square their rooms away, and a bit more time to have their eyes on reef points. Those reporting in later had to accomplish the same things, however with less time to do it... but with the help of the early birds.
Our Mid also told us that the Napsters and priors were a huge help- both report in a day early, and are available to help the majority arriving on I-day. He told us some funny stories about "squared corners" on his rack....
come to think of it, might be something you want to practice before getting there!! His rack landed in his con locker for a few days until he nailed those corners down!!! |

| For NFCU, you can also to to NFCU the day or two before I-Day if you're on the Yard. If you have questions, you can get in line (there usually is a line around I-Day...but, the place has A/C, which can be a joy!) and get your account squared away/questions answered, etc. Note that the on-Yard travel agency is directly across the tunnel portico from NFCU, and just around the corner from the Mid Store. Excited for all you incoming Plebe families! Ours is now a Plebe-no-more. Assume he's excited. Been gone for a couple of weeks on 0 Block cruise... Due back today! (but...will he call home? that's the question... lol) |

| For the NCFU direct deposit slip, do we put our current address or the naval academy's address? And who do we authorize to initiate Direct Deposits to the account? And finally, do we just leave the account information blank or what? |

| If you look inside the flap of the folder, it tells what information is required to complete the forms. For the direct deposit slip, it only requires the name, SSN, and signature. |
